Job Overview

Designation: Research Associate – I (Synthesis)
Location: Greater Noida
Department: Synthesis
Reporting Manager: Group Leader

Key Responsibilities

• Synthesize, purify, and characterize novel chemical compounds for drug discovery.
• Ensure safe handling of organic reactions and laboratory best practices.
• Apply functional group conversion, retrosynthetic analysis, and multi-step synthesis.
• Perform TLC, column chromatography, and extraction techniques.
• Analyze NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry data.
• Utilize Chemdraw, Reaxys, and electronic lab notebooks for documentation.
• Work collaboratively in a team and meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: MSc in Organic Chemistry or M. Pharma
• Experience: 1-5 years in a CRO or pharmaceutical company
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of pyrophoric reactions, purification techniques, retrosynthetic analysis, and spectroscopy interpretation
• Software Proficiency: MS Office, Chemdraw, Reaxys
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
