- Evaluation and Management – Outpatient (E&M OP)
- Same Day Surgery (SDS)
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Roles and Responsibilities
As a certified medical coder at CorroHealth, you will be responsible for:
- Extracting relevant patient information from medical records.
- Reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Assigning accurate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10-CM, APC, DRG, and ASA codes.
- Performing detailed chart audits to ensure coding accuracy.
- Staying updated on new coding rules and guidelines.
- Ensuring all coding complies with medical coding policies and healthcare standards.
- Identifying and resolving any coding-related issues with billing or documentation.
Required Qualifications and Expertise
To qualify for the role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education:
Graduation in Life Sciences or any equivalent degree with Anatomy and Physiology as core subjects.
Experience:
At least 1 year of medical coding experience in E&M OP or SDS.
Certifications:
- CPC, COC, CPC-P from AAPC or
- CCS, CCS-P, CCA from AHIMA.
