Job Description – Medicinal Chemistry R&D Role
As an R&D – Medicinal Chemistry professional at Aurigene, you will be part of an innovative team engaged in synthesizing and developing novel drug molecules. Your expertise in modern organic chemistry will contribute to cutting-edge pharmaceutical research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesize novel target molecules according to client specifications while ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilize expertise in heterocyclic chemistry, metal-catalyzed reactions, hydrogenations, and multi-step synthesis.
- Work with air/moisture-sensitive reagents and apply chromatographic methods (MPLC, HPLC, NMR, LCMS, IR) for purification and characterization.
- Adhere to EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) guidelines to ensure a safe laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: MSc. in Organic Chemistry.
Experience: 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in medicinal chemistry research.
- Strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry principles and modern synthetic techniques.
- Expertise in compound purification and spectroscopic characterization.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
