Job Role & Responsibilities

Position: Medical Coding – Fresher
Department: Healthcare Information Management
Experience Level: 0 years (Freshers)
Education: Life Science Graduates (B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Pharm / BDS / BHMS / BAMS)

As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing patient records to assign standard codes for diagnoses and procedures for billing and insurance purposes. This role is critical to ensuring accurate claim processing and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret patient medical records and physician documentation.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure coding accuracy in accordance with US healthcare compliance standards.
• Collaborate with the quality audit team to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Maintain data confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
