Job Role & Responsibilities

Medical Coder

Experience: 2+ years
Qualification: B.Pharma / M.Pharma
Certification: Mandatory (CPC, CIC, CCS, CAIMC or equivalent)
Specialty: Multi-specialty coding exposure required

Key responsibilities:

• Review clinical documents and code diagnoses/procedures using ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS.
• Perform multi-specialty coding across OP/IP, ED, radiology, surgery or physician specialties.
• Ensure coding accuracy and maintain compliance with payer policies.
• Support revenue cycle processes by preventing denials and maintaining documentation integrity.
• Keep updated with coding guidelines, speciality-specific rules and annual changes.
• Work closely with internal QA teams for audit corrections and accuracy improvements.

Core skills required:

• Strong understanding of anatomy, pharmacology and clinical concepts.
• Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR platforms.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical thinking.
• Ability to meet daily production and accuracy targets.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Required education: B.Pharma / M.Pharma

Mandatory certification: CPC, CIC, CCS, CAIMC or any recognized coding certification.

Relevant courses (comma-separated): B.Pharma, M.Pharma Pharmacology, Certificate in Medical Coding, CPC Certification Program, ICD-10-CM Training, CPT/HCPCS Coding Course, Clinical Documentation Improvement Course

Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical coding with multi-specialty exposure.

Location & Salary

Location: As per Jindal Healthcare assignment requirements (remote/hybrid details shared during screening).

Salary: Competitive based on coding expertise, certification and specialty depth.
