Job Role & Responsibilities
The Investigator Support Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the Global Investigator Support Department by ensuring timely execution of delegated tasks, maintaining investigator communication, and supporting workflow coordination across clinical research projects. The role requires strong attention to detail, professional communication skills, and a patient safety–first mindset.
Core Responsibilities
Patient Safety & Compliance
- Maintain patient safety as the highest priority in all daily operations
- Promptly identify and escalate patient safety issues for immediate resolution
- Ensure all assigned activities comply with company standards, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Investigator Site Communication & Coordination
- Manage, organize, and ensure timely communication with investigator sites or their representatives via email or approved communication channels
- Compile and share relevant information with investigator sites when new policies, procedures, or updates are implemented
- Communicate specimen pending arrival reports and request timely shipment from investigator sites
- Escalate critical information received from investigator sites to assigned global coordinators
Global Investigator Service (GIS) Support
- Provide administrative support to Global Investigator Service teams and GIS coordinators
- Assist investigator sites with Investigator Portal or Sponsor Portal access, login issues, and related queries
- Support query resolution activities assigned by the global team
- Investigate and respond to project-related questions through email or other communication platforms
Sample & Shipment Coordination
- Prepare airway bills and shipping documentation as requested
- Follow up on samples delivered in error with appropriate internal departments until resolution
- Track sample-related issues and ensure timely closure
Data Management & Workflow Tracking
- Search, update, and maintain investigator site databases with accurate and current information
- Document follow-up attempts and workflow actions per assigned processes
- Resolve simple to moderate system-generated hold issues independently or as assigned
- Track and report workflow metrics within agreed timelines
Documentation & Training Management
- Maintain and update training folders and documentation
- Review standard operating procedures and related documents within defined timelines
- Document service failures and collaborate with global teams to resolve issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to management when required
Continuous Learning & Development
- Complete onboarding training and mandatory corporate training programs
- Attend required meetings and participate in ongoing training initiatives
- Stay updated on process improvements, system updates, and operational changes
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives
Eligibility / Qualifications
This role is suitable for candidates with a background in clinical research support, life sciences operations, healthcare administration, or related fields. Prior exposure to regulated environments, global coordination, or investigator site support is highly desirable.

B.Sc Life Sciences, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Microbiology, B.Sc Clinical Research, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, M.Sc Life Sciences, M.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Microbiology, Diploma in Clinical Research, PG Diploma in Clinical Research, Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related disciplines
Experience Requirements
