EVERSANA is hiring an Expert Writer – Medical Content Development for its integrated life sciences compliance team. This is a full-time remote opportunity based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area for experienced medical writers with strong expertise in Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and Scientific Communications. Candidates with a PharmD, M.Pharm, MS Pharm, PhD, or MD and a minimum of 4 years of medical writing experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry are encouraged to apply.

Job Role & Responsibilities

The Expert Writer – Medical Content Development will report to the Manager, Medical Content Development and collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Regulatory, Quality, and Pharmacovigilance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scientifically accurate, compliant medical and scientific content for Medical Affairs and Medical Information engagements.
  • Create and write Scientific Response Documents (SRDs), Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), slide decks, abstracts, posters, training materials, educational content, and other medical communications materials.
  • Drive end-to-end document development including literature review, data interpretation, drafting, referencing, and coordination of Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) review meetings.
  • Utilize document management systems such as Veeva Vault PromoMats or MedComms to upload content, manage references, and anchor citations.
  • Conduct scientific fact-checking to support regulatory and medical review teams.
  • Participate in client meetings and strategic discussions related to medical communications and commercialization projects.
  • Support preparation of thought leadership articles, congress materials, blogs, newsletters, and scientific publications.
  • Contribute to development and updating of SOPs, templates, style guides, and quality checklists.
  • Mentor and coach junior writers and support onboarding where required.
  • Stay current with industry standards including publication ethics, regulatory guidelines, and compliance frameworks.

The role demands high scientific rigor, regulatory awareness, and strong project management capability to deliver compliant and publication-ready materials aligned with global medical standards.


Eligibility & Qualifications

Educational Qualification

PharmD, M.Pharm, MS Pharm, PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, Clinical Research, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or related disciplines.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in medical writing and medical content development within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Direct experience in Medical Information, Medical Communications, or Scientific Communications.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of clinical research principles, applied statistics, and scientific data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with AMA style guide, ICMJE, GPP, PRISMA, STROBE, CONSORT, and other medical publishing standards.
  • Experience conducting literature searches using PubMed, Embase, Ovid, and similar databases.
  • Experience with reference management tools such as EndNote, Mendeley, or Citavi.
  • Strong regulatory and compliance awareness for promotional and non-promotional materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document review platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting product launches with medical information materials.
  • Experience publishing abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
  • Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Familiarity with Veeva Vault MedComms or PromoMats systems.
