Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Patient Safety Assistant, you will support pharmacovigilance operations, safety data processing, and regulatory reporting activities. This role focuses on adverse event case handling, safety database management, and compliance with global drug safety guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform triage and initial review of incoming safety case reports
- Enter case data into safety databases and tracking systems
- Manage follow-ups for missing or incomplete safety information
- Support adverse event reporting and pharmacovigilance workflows
- Generate line listings and tabulations for periodic safety reports
- Assist in regulatory submissions to health authorities and ethics committees
- Maintain project documentation, safety records, and audit trails
- Support quality assurance activities and internal audits
- Coordinate translation of study documents with external vendors
- Track reporting timelines and compliance metrics
- Assist in project management activities and safety operations support
- Maintain productivity metrics and reporting dashboards
- Collaborate with safety physicians, project leads, and cross-functional teams
This role is critical in ensuring accurate safety data collection, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting of adverse events in clinical trials and post-marketing surveillance.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
B.Pharm, M.Pharm, BSc Life Sciences, MSc Life Sciences, Nursing, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Clinical Research, Allied Health Sciences
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of pharmacovigilance and drug safety processes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical data handling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
