Job Role & Responsibilities
The Patient Safety Partner acts as a key driver of pharmacovigilance (PV) excellence, ensuring compliance with global safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
Core Pharmacovigilance Activities
- Manage Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSR) and safety data collection
- Conduct signal detection and signal management for marketed products
- Prepare and submit aggregate safety reports to health authorities
- Handle pharmacovigilance agreements and safety data exchange processes
Risk Management & Safety Communication
- Implement risk minimization strategies and safety communication plans
- Coordinate Direct Healthcare Professional Communications (DHPCs)
- Support safety-related programs like PASS, NIS, and managed access programs
- Contribute to safety labeling and PV commitments
Quality & Compliance Management
- Ensure alignment with global PV procedures and local regulatory requirements
- Manage CAPA processes, root cause analysis, and audit readiness
- Maintain data integrity across safety systems including Veeva Vault
- Oversee PV training compliance for internal teams and partners
Pharmacovigilance System Oversight
- Maintain Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF)
- Ensure inspection readiness and regulatory compliance at all times
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve PV systems and processes
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: MBBS, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, Life Sciences (BSc, MSc – Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Clinical Research)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety roles
- Strong understanding of global PV regulations (ICH, FDA, EMA)
- Experience in clinical trials and post-marketing surveillance
- Knowledge of PV systems such as Veeva Vault and ArisG
Location & Salary
- Job Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Work Mode: On-site
- Salary Range: ₹12 LPA – ₹22 LPA (approximate, based on pharmacovigilance and drug safety roles in MNC pharma companies)
