Job Role & Responsibilities

The Scientific Specialist – Medical Information plays a content creation and response management role within Parexel’s Medical Communications team. Core responsibilities include conducting systematic literature searches on PubMed and other subscribed scientific databases, then validating relevant inclusions for use in medical information content. The Specialist creates or updates existing global Standard Scientific Response Cards (gSSRCs) and FAQs based on provided templates or style guides, ensuring content is scientifically accurate, current, and compliant. The role also involves directly responding to escalated queries received from internal teams as well as external contacts such as healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers.

Beyond content creation, the Specialist acts as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, adheres to best practices around process management, project documentation, communication, and quality standards, participates in assigned training programmes, and ensures strict adherence to timelines, confidentiality, and security requirements across all assigned work.
