Detailed Job Description

Assistant Manager – QA Job Responsibilities

1. Quality Functioning: Oversee the overall quality functioning of the manufacturing plant.
2. Investigations: Lead investigations related to Quality Control laboratory out-of-specification (OOS) issues.
3. Training: Provide food safety-related training to all stakeholders.
4. Market Complaints: Handle market complaints efficiently.
5. Certification and Compliance: Ensure certification and compliance of the plant with various standards, including FSSC 22000, HACCP, HALAL, KOSHER, GAIN, specified customer standards, as well as FSSAI and FDA standards.
6. Documentation Review: Review documentation related to finished products, including BMR/BPR, TTs of new products, reprocessing/reworking requests, raw data, SOPs, HACCP manual, SMF.
7. Validation: Plan and conduct process validation, hold time studies, cleaning validation, equipment qualifications, etc.
8. Audits: Lead customer/regulatory audits and comply with observations within defined timelines. Conduct internal audits and support in closing audit findings.
9. Certification of New Products: Comply with certification processes for new products, including HALAL, KOSHER, FSSAI, FDA, and FOSCOS registration.
10. Deviations and Change Controls: Manage deviations and change controls, ensuring timely closures.
11. Supplier Audits: Conduct supplier and external service provider audits and comply with requirements.
12. Approved Supplier List: Sustain the approved supplier list for raw and packaging materials.
13. IPQA Leadership: Lead the IPQA team, demonstrating best practices on the shop floor.
