Job Overview: Scientist Process Research & Development
The Scientist in Process Research & Development will play a crucial role in planning and executing experiments aimed at optimizing pharmaceutical processes. This includes improving yields, isolation techniques, and product quality. The role requires a deep understanding of chemistry, along with the ability to transfer technology from lab scale to kilo/pilot plant scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute experiments to understand and optimize chemical processes.
- Enhance yields, isolation techniques, and product quality through innovative research.
- Perform technology transfer from lab scale to kilo/pilot plant scale, ensuring seamless process transitions.
- Analyze intermediate and finished products using IR, NMR, Mass, GC, and HPLC techniques.
- Prepare detailed development reports and technology transfer documents.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in lab notebooks.
- Conduct literature searches and troubleshoot chemical processes as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: MSc in Chemistry.
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in process research and development.
- Skills: Strong expertise in multi-step synthesis, compound purification, and analytical techniques like IR, NMR, Mass, GC, and HPLC.
