About CIAB:

Job Role:

• Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA or Hostel facility
• Tenure: One year, extendable based on performance and project needs
• Qualifications:
  • MSc in Chemistry (any discipline), Biotechnology, MS (Pharma), M Tech in Medicinal Chemistry, Process, Pharmaceutical Technology, or equivalent from a recognized University, Institute.
  • NET, GATE, GPAT or equivalent qualified.

Responsibilities:

As a Junior Research Fellow at CIAB, your responsibilities include:

• Conducting research in the designated area of expertise.
• Participating in project development and implementation.
• Assisting in program documentation and report preparation.
• Collaborating with the research team and contributing to scientific advancements.

Application Procedure:

Interested candidates can attend the Walk-In-Interview on 30-04-2024, carrying the duly filled application form available on the CIAB website. Registration is from 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Ensure eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.

Engagement Process:

Eligible candidates will undergo an interview conducted by a selection committee. Successful candidates will be considered for engagement on a fellowship/stipendiary basis.

Important information:

The applications must be submitted in the prescribed format, downloadable from the CIAB website: www.ciab.res.in.

• Completed applications, along with photocopies of all relevant educational and experience certificates, must be submitted at the time of registration at the Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing (CIAB), Sector-81 (Knowledge City), Manauli P.O., S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali – 140306, Punjab, from 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM on 30-04-2024.
• All positions are based in Mohali, Punjab, but some work may be assigned to outstations as well.
• The number of positions may vary.
• Age relaxation for various categories (including women candidates) will be as per the rules of DST and other Government of India agencies.
• If no suitable candidate is found in any area, no selection will be made in that case.
• No TA/DA or other allowances will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
• Candidates should bring their original documents for verification and one set of photocopies (for submission) of all relevant certificates related to education, experience, publications, thesis/dissertations, etc., at the time of the interview.
• Candidates found eligible after the scrutiny of applications post-registration will be required to appear before a Selection Committee. Please note that if there is a substantial number of applicants, the Chief Executive Officer, CIAB, reserves the right to devise criteria to shortlist candidates for the interview. If necessary, a written test may also be conducted to shortlist candidates. The decision of the CEO, CIAB, to conduct a written test shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.
