Job Overview

Colgate-Palmolive is looking for an Associate Scientist – Analytical Sciences to join its Innovation & Growth Technology Development (IGTeD) Center in Mumbai. This role involves end-to-end planning and execution of analytical science initiatives for oral care products in collaboration with global and local teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct stability testing for oral care products in collaboration with global/local analytical and product development teams.
• Perform routine analysis and testing of new product formats using HPLC, GC, Ion Chromatography, and other analytical instruments in a cGMP environment.
• Transfer analytical methods and new technologies while providing troubleshooting support.
• Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods while ensuring compliance with ICH/WHO/FDA guidelines and ALCOA+ principles.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest industry advancements, scientific developments, and regulatory changes.

Key Stakeholders

• Internal: Innovation & Science, Technical Services, Supply Chain, Quality/EHS, Microbiology, Manufacturing Units, and Suppliers.
• External: Global R&D, Manufacturing Sites, Analytical Groups, and Quality Teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: MSc. in Analytical Science, Bioanalytical, Organic Chemistry, or M.Pharm.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in analytical sciences.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with HPLC/GC in a cGMP environment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in HPLC, GC, Ion Chromatography, and OpenLab software.
  • Strong knowledge of ICH, WHO, and FDA guidelines for stability testing.
  • Experience in analytical method validation, degradation studies, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with eLN and LIMS is an added advantage.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and business presentation skills.
