Key Responsibilities for Discovery Chemistry Role

• As a Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist in the Discovery Chemistry department at Jubilant Biosys, you will play a crucial role in drug discovery processes. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Designing and Executing Organic Synthesis Reactions: Plan and carry out multi-step synthetic reactions to build organic compounds for drug discovery programs.
• Developing SAR Understanding: Enhance structure-activity relationship (SAR) knowledge to support the optimization of drug candidates.
• Optimizing Synthetic Routes: Develop and optimize synthetic routes for targeted compounds, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Characterizing Organic Molecules: Utilize advanced spectroscopic techniques (NMR, IR, MS, etc.) to characterize organic molecules and confirm their structures.
• Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze research data and maintain accurate, detailed laboratory records to track progress and results.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including biologists and computational scientists, to drive project success.
• Mentoring Junior Scientists: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, offering support on synthetic challenges and scientific growth

Qualifications for Discovery Chemistry Role
