Job Role: Senior Research Associate – Synthesis R&D
Key Responsibilities
- Execute chemical reactions to synthesize target molecules/compounds as per client specifications
- Select efficient routes and techniques for synthesis
- Set up and execute reactions using standard laboratory practices
- Maintain high safety standards and enforce good laboratory practices (GLP)
- Purify compounds using techniques such as NMR, LC-MS, etc.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation in Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN)
- Support data integrity and intellectual property protection
Required Skills
- Strong background in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry
- Proficiency in purification and analytical interpretation
- Good documentation skills with working knowledge of ELN
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold an MSc. degree in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry.
Courses typically under this background include:
- MSc. in Organic Chemistry
- MSc. in Medicinal Chemistry
- MSc. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
- MSc. in Synthetic Chemistry
- MSc. in Chemistry with specialization in Drug Design or Process Chemistry
Experience Required
Applicants must have 4 to 7 years of industrial experience in synthesis R&D, preferably in CRO/CDMO settings.
