Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Clinical Data Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and managing clinical data systems that support high-impact global studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clinical research and regulatory teams to design, document, test, and implement clinical data collection studies.
- Develop, validate, and maintain Case Report Forms (CRFs) and data collection systems in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Establish and monitor data quality plans and validation systems for accuracy and compliance.
- Review clinical protocols for cross-project consistency and ensure compliance with GCP and Medtronic SOPs.
- Prepare and present data analysis reports for internal and cross-functional validation.
- Identify trends and patterns within datasets to support medical and operational decision-making.
- Provide early strategic input into clinical trial protocol design from a data management perspective.
- Support issue resolution, data discrepancy management, and audit preparedness.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or Data Science.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Clinical Data Management or Clinical Operations.
- Experience with EDC systems, data validation, and protocol-based data collection.
Core Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of clinical database design and validation.
- Experience with tools such as Medidata Rave, Oracle Clinical, or Veeva Vault CDMS.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with ICH-GCP, ISO 14155, and regulatory guidelines.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, SAS, or Python for data handling.
- Experience in clinical trials related to medical devices or digital health solutions.
