Positions & Job Role
We are hiring across multiple experience bands for formulation R&D:
- Research Associate / Sr. Research Associate — (Exp. 1–5 years)
- Research Scientist — (Exp. 5–7 years)
- Senior Research Scientist — (Exp. 7–12 years)
- Team Leader (R&D) — (Exp. 12–18 years)
Primary Area: Formulation development & process optimisation (Oral Solids & Liquid formulations)
Key Accountabilities (common across levels — scope varies by seniority)
- Perform targeted literature reviews and design experimental plans for formulation development.
- Execute laboratory trials for pre‑formulation, formulation screening, and process optimisation of oral solids and liquid dosage forms.
- Generate, analyse and interpret stability data, impurity profiles and characterization datasets to support regulatory submissions and product specifications.
- Lead scale‑up activities: transfer processes from lab to pilot plant, prepare MFCs/exhibit batch protocols and ensure successful technology transfer to manufacturing.
- Prepare and review technical documentation including development reports, batch records, scale‑up reports, and regulatory annexures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during development and scale‑up; propose corrective actions and optimisation strategies.
- For senior and leadership roles: guide and mentor junior scientists, plan project deliverables, and manage cross‑functional interactions with QA, QC, Production and Regulatory Affairs.
- Drive innovation by identifying new excipients, process technologies, and analytical approaches to improve product performance and manufacturability.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines.
Experience Bands:
- Research Associate / Sr. Research Associate: 1–5 years
- Research Scientist: 5–7 years
- Senior Research Scientist: 7–12 years
- Team Leader: 12–18 years
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- Hands‑on experience in formulation design and process optimisation for oral solid dosage forms and liquid formulations.
- Proven knowledge of scale‑up, technology transfer, pilot plant operations and exhibit/validation batches.
- Familiarity with stability study design, analytical characterization (HPLC, dissolution, assay, impurity profiling) and data interpretation.
- Good understanding of QbD, ICH guidelines, cGMP and regulatory documentation requirements.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, technical writing capability, and ability to present data to cross‑functional stakeholders.
