Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Trainee Medical Coder (IPDRG), you’ll be trained to classify inpatient hospital cases for billing and insurance processing under international DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) systems.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Understanding ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems.
- Applying DRG logic for inpatient data classification.
- Ensuring coding accuracy and compliance with U.S. healthcare standards.
- Maintaining detailed and confidential patient data.
- Assisting in documentation audits and corrections.
- Collaborating with team leads and trainers for coding quality improvement.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Education: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm D, BAMS, BHMS, BDS, BPT, BNYS, B.Sc (MLT, OTT, Physician Assistant, Cardiac Care, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Imaging), and other Paramedical streams.
- Note: Life Science and Non-Life Science graduates are not eligible.
- Experience: Freshers only.
