Job Role & Responsibilities

Torrent is seeking Patent Executives who can independently manage IP evaluation and support formulation and API development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed literature searches for API and formulation-related innovations.
• Prepare comprehensive IP landscape reports for targeted global markets.
• Perform Freedom to Operate (FTO) analysis for formulations, APIs, and intermediates.
• Evaluate patent infringement risks and provide IP clearance to formulation and API teams.
• Support patentability assessments and assist in drafting patent applications.
• Track country-wise litigation and maintain updated legal status reports.
• Review master documents and ensure real-time updates of all IP deliverables.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Required qualifications (comma-separated): M.Pharm Medicinal Chemistry, M.Pharm Pharmaceutics, M.Sc Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Drug Regulatory Affairs Certification, Patent Drafting Certification.

Experience requirements:

• 2–6 years of experience in patents, IP analysis, or intellectual property research.
• Strong understanding of patent databases, prior-art search methods, and chemical structure interpretation.
• Familiarity with global IP systems and litigation frameworks.
• Ability to prepare FTO reports, infringement assessments, and IP risk evaluations.
