Job Role & Responsibilities

PI is hiring for two core functions: Process Technology (Research Scientist) and Technology Transfer (Executive/Sr. Executive).

Process Technology — Research Scientist (M.Sc / PhD)

• Develop and optimize chemical processes for APIs, specialty chemicals or agrochemical intermediates.
• Design lab-scale experiments and pilot trials for reaction optimization, yield improvement and impurity control.
• Support scale-up activities, prepare process development reports and identify critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs).
• Implement green chemistry principles, cost-effective raw material selection and process safety considerations.
• Collaborate with analytical teams for method development and stability assessments.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to regulatory dossiers when required.

Technology Transfer — Executive / Sr. Executive (B.Tech/B.E. Chemical Engineering)

• Lead technology transfer activities from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring scalability and reproducibility.
• Execute process engineering tasks: equipment selection, mass/heat balance, materials of construction and utility requirements.
• Troubleshoot scale-up issues on pilot and commercial lines; provide technical support during plant trials.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams — production, QA, QC and procurement — for smooth process deployment.
• Maintain transfer documentation, batch records, SOPs and engineering change controls.
• Monitor process performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Required Education

• M.Sc or PhD in Chemistry / Organic Chemistry or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry for Research Scientist roles.
• B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering for Technology Transfer roles.

Experience

• Research Scientist (PhD): PhD holders with 0–5 years of postdoctoral/industry experience in chemical process development or process optimization.
• Research Scientist (M.Sc): M.Sc candidates with 1–12 years’ experience in chemical process development, scale-up or related R&D.
• Technology Transfer Executive/Sr. Executive: Minimum 3 years’ experience in technology transfer, process engineering or scale-up in agrochemicals, fine chemicals, pharma-API or specialty chemicals.

Desired skills include hands-on synthetic chemistry experience, familiarity with pilot plant operations, process safety awareness, and knowledge of regulatory expectations for API and agrochemical manufacturing.
