Job Role & Responsibilities

The QA Officer / Senior Officer owns execution and monitoring of the Quality Management System at the site, ensuring operations meet regulatory expectations and internal quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QMS processes: manage deviations, CAPA, change controls, and documentation control.
• Ensure operational compliance with GMP, GLP, and GEP across production, QC, and utilities.
• Monitor and verify equipment cleaning, calibration, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) activities.
• Oversee material management workflows — receipt, storage, issuance — to prevent quality risks.
• Coordinate and support internal audits, supplier/vendor qualification, and regulatory inspections.
• Train and mentor shopfloor and technical staff on quality procedures, change control, and compliance expectations.
• Prepare quality reports, metrics, and trend analysis to drive corrective actions and continual improvement.

This role requires strong attention to detail, ownership of documentation, and the ability to communicate quality expectations clearly across departments.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Required Education

• M.Pharm, B.Pharm, or M.Sc in relevant disciplines.

Relevant courses (comma-separated): Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutics, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Quality Management Systems, Pharmaceutical Technology, Industrial Pharmacy, Analytical Chemistry.

Experience

• 3–5 years in Quality Assurance within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing deviation handling, CAPA implementation, change control, and audit support.
• Experience with equipment qualification, calibration oversight, and material management preferred.

Desirable Skills

• Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, GEP and regulatory inspection requirements.
• Good documentation discipline and ability to prepare audit-ready records.
