Job Role & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be engaged as research scholars or project trainees under the Materiovigilance Programme of India. The internship focuses on improving the quality, quantity, and frequency of medical device adverse event reporting across healthcare institutions.
Key responsibilities during the internship include:
- Supporting coordinators in managing MDMCs and peripheral hospitals or clinics.
- Assisting in identification, documentation, and reporting of adverse events related to medical devices.
- Visiting hospital areas such as wards, ICUs, operation theatres, nursing stations, laboratories, and clinical departments as required.
- Conducting and assisting awareness programs for healthcare professionals under supervision.
- Supporting baseline studies circulated by NCC-MvPI related to defective medical devices and safety alerts.
- Updating coordinators on product recalls, field safety notices, and regulatory actions.
- Maintaining professional conduct and effective communication with healthcare professionals.
- Preparing and submitting a detailed project report to IPC at the end of the internship.
- Ensuring confidentiality of data and compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines.
Interns are required to maintain a minimum attendance of 75%. Candidates demonstrating exceptional performance and attendance above 90% may receive an excellence certificate.

Medical Sciences: MBBS, MD, DM, PhD

Engineering: BE, ME, B.Tech, M.Sc, MS, PhD (Biomedical, Clinical, Medical Electronics, Instrumentation, Related Fields)
Nursing: ANM, GNM, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing
Allied Health Sciences and Skill Development Programs
Relevant courses (comma-separated): B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, MBBS, BDS, BE Biomedical Engineering, B.Tech Medical Electronics, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, Allied Health Sciences.
Additional Requirements
