Job Role & Responsibilities
The selected Project Research Scientist-1 will work on a cutting-edge oncology research project titled:
Microneedle-assisted chemo-photodynamic combination therapy for melanoma treatment integrated with real-time monitoring using thermal imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation development of advanced drug delivery systems (microneedles, nanomedicine platforms)
- Analytical method development and validation
- In-vitro cell line studies and in-vivo animal studies for melanoma research
- Synthesis and characterization of photosensitizers and chemotherapeutic combinations
- Spectroscopic analysis and interpretation of experimental data
- Real-time monitoring of cancerous skin lesions using thermal imaging
- Data analysis, technical documentation, and regulatory-compliant record keeping
- Preparation of research reports, publications, and scientific manuscripts
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across pharmacy, chemistry, biology, and mechanical engineering
This role directly supports cancer therapeutics innovation, medical device development, and precision oncology research, aligning strongly with national healthcare objectives.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- M.Pharm, M.S. Pharm, M.Tech (Pharmaceutics, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Nanomedicine)
- OR M.Sc / M.Tech in Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical Chemistry)
- GPAT / GATE / NET qualification preferred
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of programming languages and data analysis tools
- Exposure to machine learning applications in healthcare
- Hands-on experience with thermal imaging systems
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical research methodologies and GLP practices
Age Limit:
- Maximum 35 years (as per ICMR norms)
