Job Role & Responsibilities
AcuLIFE is hiring for two major functional areas: Engineering (Sterile Maintenance) and Production (Parenteral Manufacturing).
Engineering – Maintenance Engineer (Sterile)
This role is critical for maintaining uninterrupted sterile manufacturing operations and ensuring equipment compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of sterile manufacturing equipment
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of autoclaves, sterilizers, filling lines, isolators, and cleanroom equipment
- Operation and maintenance of HVAC, compressed air, purified water, and WFI systems
- Execution and documentation of maintenance activities as per approved SOPs
- Support for equipment qualification activities including IQ, OQ, and PQ
- Participation in internal, customer, and regulatory audits
- Coordination with production, QA, and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements

Production – Parenteral Manufacturing

- Compliance with production and packing SOPs in sterile environments

- Handling quality system documentation including CCN, CAPA, deviations, and investigations
- Coordination with QA, QC, and engineering teams during routine and audit operations

Eligibility / Qualifications
Engineering Roles
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering
- Experience range: 4 to 10 years in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
- Strong knowledge of GMP, equipment qualification, and utilities management
Production Roles
- Educational background in science or pharmacy
- Required degrees: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc, M.Sc
- Experience: 0 to 2 years in parenteral manufacturing
- Exposure to injectable dosage forms such as vials, ampoules, bags, bottles, or BFS technology is preferred
