Job Role & Responsibilities

The Research Associate (Synthesis – API) will be responsible for end-to-end API process development activities, from route scouting to laboratory synthesis and scale-up. The role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving ability, and strict adherence to regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive literature surveys using SciFinder, Reaxys, and other scientific databases
• Propose and evaluate viable synthetic routes for new API molecules
• Lead API process development from laboratory synthesis to scale-up readiness
• Optimize reaction conditions to improve yield, purity, safety, and cost efficiency
• Support new product development and technology transfer activities
• Troubleshoot process challenges during development and scale-up stages
• Perform impurity profiling and impurity synthesis as required
• Ensure compliance with cGLP guidelines, data integrity requirements, and laboratory safety norms
• Maintain accurate experimental records and development reports
