Job Role & Responsibilities
QC Microbiologist – Officer / Sr. Officer
- Perform analysis of semi-finished and finished pharmaceutical products as per approved specifications
- Handle process validation samples and miscellaneous testing requirements
- Operate advanced analytical instruments such as HPLC, KF, Potentiometric Titrator, and FTIR as per SOPs
- Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP)
- Maintain accurate documentation and record observations in test data sheets
- Monitor chromatographic data and report any Out of Specification (OOS) and Out of Trend (OOT) results
- Ensure proper destruction of tested samples with required approvals and documentation
- Support sterile and respules manufacturing testing environments
This role is critical in maintaining product quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting pharmaceutical quality assurance systems that directly impact patient safety.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Required Education:
M.Sc. Microbiology
Relevant Courses:
Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in QC Microbiology
- Hands-on experience in sterile manufacturing and respules testing is mandatory
- Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines, GMP compliance, and analytical testing procedures
