Role and Responsibility
As an MSL, your primary responsibility is to create value by engaging with external stakeholders, aligning strategies, and identifying opportunities to change the practice of medicine for the better. Your actions will directly contribute to addressing patient needs, shaping the Integrated Product Strategy (IPS), and enhancing Novartis’ medical strategies.
Key Functions
- Strategic Collaboration: Utilize your expertise to collaborate with internal teams, contributing to Patient Journey mapping, launch excellence roadmap, integrated evidence generation plans, and medical strategies. Serve as a knowledgeable expert in your therapeutic area to guide field matrix colleagues.
- Insightful Insights: Identify data gaps, opportunities for data generation (including Real-World Evidence and precision medicine), and unmet needs to enhance patient access and outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop personalized and flexible engagement strategies for external stakeholders. Collaborate with colleagues to create engagement plans and utilize various channels to meet evolving stakeholder needs.
- Scientific Partner: Communicate the right evidence to the right stakeholder at the right time. Share appropriate data about Novartis compounds to enable informed decisions and respond to information requests in a compliant manner.
- Digital Reach: Leverage digital channels to extend your impact, participating in scientific events, exchanges, and medical education. Contribute to Novartis Clinical Trials and support Managed Access Programs (MAPs).
Your Profile
- Educational Background: Hold a Pharmacist, Masters, or post-graduate degree in health/life sciences. A doctoral degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) is preferred.
- Expertise and Experience: Bring 2-3 years of experience in a medical function, with familiarity in at least one therapeutic area. Demonstrate working knowledge of healthcare systems, research procedures, and industry guidelines.
