Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Pharmacovigilance Services New Associate, you will support end-to-end drug safety operations and contribute to accurate and timely processing of adverse event data in global safety databases.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform intake, triage, and case creation of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs)
- Identify and process adverse events (AEs), serious adverse events (SAEs), and SUSARs
- Create and maintain cases in the global safety database as per client SOPs
- Perform case data entry, quality checks, and follow-up processing
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory timelines and submission requirements
- Conduct medical and drug coding using MedDRA and WHO-Drug dictionaries
- Draft case narratives and reviewer comments as per regulatory standards
- Perform duplicate checks, case corrections, and case deletions when required
- Support submission of safety reports through E2B and regulatory gateways
- Monitor and reconcile client mailboxes and intake sources
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in audits, inspections, and compliance activities
- Support pharmacovigilance projects and transition activities
- Perform document archiving and data validation activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional and client teams for safety deliverables
- Translate source documents and narratives when required
Eligibility / Qualifications
Required Educational Background
Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), BSc Nursing, Bachelor Degree in Life Sciences
Experience Requirement
- 0 to 1 year of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety operations
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge are eligible
Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and drug safety concepts
- Understanding of adverse event reporting and case processing
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Exposure to MedDRA and WHO-Drug dictionaries is preferred
- Basic knowledge of global safety databases is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Strong medical writing and documentation skills
- Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
