Job Role & Responsibilities
The IPR Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing intellectual property portfolios, ensuring patent compliance, and supporting the R&D team in innovation strategies. Key responsibilities include:
- IP Landscape Review: Analyze and review IP landscape reports for strategic insights.
- FTO & Non-Infringement Analysis: Conduct Freedom-to-Operate studies, patent non-infringement, and invalidation assessments.
- Patent Strategy Development: Prepare strategies for design-around solutions for P-IV and NCE products.
- R&D Interaction: Collaborate with scientists to explore IP opportunities and mitigation strategies.
- IP Due Diligence: Support product selection and portfolio evaluation.
- Regulatory & Legal Support: Assist RAD for patent certifications, PIL clearances, patent declarations, and ANDA litigation.
- Communication with Attorneys: Coordinate with local and international attorneys for patent prosecution and IP management.
- Team Management: Allocate, review, plan, and execute tasks within the IPR team.
- Patent Filing & Prosecution: Handle filing, prosecution, and documentation of patent applications globally.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Education:
- M.Pharm (Any specialization)
Experience:
- 6–10 years in pharmaceutical Formulation IPR, with at least 5 years in hands-on patent management, review, and litigation support.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of patent laws, IP due diligence, and ANDA regulations.
- Experience in FTO analysis, patent invalidation, and design-around strategies.
- Ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams and manage high-priority patent portfolios.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
