Job Role & Responsibilities
As an Rx Prior Authorization Support Associate, you will manage medication authorization workflows and support healthcare providers in processing insurance approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage pharmacy prior authorization work queues in Epic system
- Initiate prospective and retrospective PA requests with accurate patient and medication data
- Track authorization status and perform follow-ups as per defined protocols
- Document all activities, communications, and updates within Epic
- Upload and manage patient-related documents and medical records securely
- Enter authorization details such as approval numbers and validity dates
- Communicate with pharmacies and stakeholders via secure messaging and calls
- Identify complex or denied cases and escalate to senior teams or pharmacists
This role is essential in ensuring timely medication approvals and improving patient access to treatment.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a degree in pharmacy or medical-related fields
Eligible courses include:
B.Pharm, B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), B.Sc Nursing, Life Sciences, Paramedical Courses, Clinical Research, Healthcare Management
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in healthcare support, pharmacy operations, or medical claims processing
Skills Required:
