Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Literature Search Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting the medical services team with high-quality literature searches and analyses for drug safety purposes. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive and systematic literature searches across scientific databases like PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Google Scholar.
- Performing targeted searches for aggregate reports, signal detection, and risk management activities.
- Screening and evaluating scientific articles for relevance, accuracy, and quality of data.
- Summarizing findings and preparing detailed literature review reports in alignment with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with pharmacovigilance, regulatory writing, and medical affairs teams to ensure timely and accurate literature outputs.
- Keeping updated on search strategies, database functionalities, and indexing terms such as MeSH.
- Adhering to global regulatory standards, including ICH guidelines, GVP Module IX, and internal SOPs.
- Supporting literature surveillance reports for PSURs, PBRERs, and RMPs.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in literature search, scientific research, or drug safety within pharma, CRO, or medical services environments.
- Strong knowledge of literature search methodologies and familiarity with databases (PubMed, Embase, Scopus).
- Understanding of pharmacovigilance processes, regulatory reporting timelines, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and reference management tools (EndNote, Mendeley, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams.
