Research Associate – Custom Synthesis (MSc Organic Chemistry)
Responsibilities:
- Independently plan, set up, monitor, and work up chemical reactions
- Optimize reaction conditions to improve yields and productivity
- Purify compounds using Column Chromatography, Vacuum Distillation, and Crystallization
- Characterize compounds with analytical techniques like MS and 1H NMR
- Maintain accurate lab notebooks and write detailed technical reports
- Conduct literature searches using tools like SciFinder
- Manage routine lab tasks: equipment upkeep, inventory, and housekeeping
- Set up multiple reactions per day independently
- Stay updated with recent scientific publications and methods
Educational Qualifications
- MSc in Organic Chemistry (Mandatory)
Experience Required
- 1–4 years in custom synthesis, preferably with CRO experience
