Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Medical Coder – HCC Specialty, you will play a key role in risk adjustment coding and healthcare reimbursement accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform HCC coding and risk adjustment using ICD-10-CM guidelines
- Review patient charts and abstract accurate diagnoses
- Apply CMS HCC Hierarchies and RAF score calculation
- Maintain compliance with coding regulations and payer-specific guidelines
- Ensure coding quality through detailed chart reviews
- Work effectively with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and reporting
- Maintain coding productivity and quality benchmarks set by the company
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Education: Any graduate with medical coding background
- Certification (mandatory): CPC, CCS, CRC, or COC (one required)
- Experience: 1–3 years in HCC medical coding
- Skills Required:
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM guidelines
