Job Role & Responsibilities
Position: Pharmacist
Location: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
Experience: 1–4 years
Qualification: B.Pharm / D.Pharm
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescribed medicines accurately and efficiently to patients.
- Provide patient counselling on dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulatory guidelines (Drugs & Cosmetics Act, PCI norms).
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and expiry tracking.
- Handle billing and transaction records using pharmacy management software.
- Maintain complete documentation for narcotic drugs and controlled substances as per regulatory standards.
- Support doctors and nurses by providing timely and accurate information about medications.
- Ensure quality checks and maintain cleanliness in the dispensing area.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Required Education:
B.Pharm, D.Pharm
(Courses: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy)
Experience:
1–4 years of relevant experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setup.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of drug formulations and dosages.
- Good communication and patient interaction skills.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and billing tools.
- Updated understanding of prescription validation and record-keeping.
- Attention to detail and adherence to ethical standards.
