Job Role & Responsibilities
Designation: Packaging Development Executive
Experience: 3–7 Years
Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm
Location: Nagpur
As a Packaging Development Executive, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality packaging systems that comply with regulatory and operational requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize packaging materials, and maintain data integrity across documentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review operational packing material lists, packaging material specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Batch Packaging Records (BPRs) in PAS-X and SAP systems.
- Develop and manage base documents for packaging materials and in-house label designs for exhibit and commercial batches.
- Create pack split-up and pallet matrix documentation for production teams.
- Provide technical support to Production, QA, QC, and RA departments during packaging operations.
- Review artwork, shade cards, and print proofs for accuracy and compliance with branding and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with R&D and QA for the preparation and review of Primary Packaging Material Specifications, Primary Pack Specifications, and Standard Test Procedures (STPs).
- Ensure packaging development aligns with cGMP, regulatory compliance, and global packaging standards.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm) from a recognized university.
- Preferred coursework includes Pharmaceutical Packaging Technology, Industrial Pharmacy, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Formulation Design.
Experience Required:
- 3–7 years of experience in Packaging Development, Packaging Technology, or Formulation Development within a pharmaceutical organization.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong command over PAS-X and SAP systems for packaging documentation.
- Knowledge of BOM creation, labeling compliance, and primary/secondary packaging standards.
- Experience in artwork management, material specification drafting, and vendor coordination.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving attitude and strong analytical thinking.
