Job Role & Responsibilities

Role: Medical Science Liaison Officer (MSLO) — Field Based (Delhi)

Reporting: Medical Affairs Lead / Regional Medical Head

Core purpose: Build and maintain trusted scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs); communicate clinical evidence; contribute field insights to medical strategy.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular field‑based scientific engagements (approx. 90% travel) with KOLs, specialists and institutional HCPs.
  • Present clinical trial data, real‑world evidence and product dossiers clearly and accurately.
  • Facilitate advisory boards, medical education sessions (CMEs) and investigator‑initiated research discussions.
  • Support internal training to ensure the commercial team communicates within medical and regulatory boundaries.
  • Collect and report field insights—unmet medical needs, treatment patterns, emerging safety signals—to shape medical strategy and evidence generation plans.
  • Assist in site identification and feasibility activities for clinical research where required.
  • Maintain ethical, compliant interactions and promptly report any adverse events or medical queries to pharmacovigilance.
  • Operate independently as an individual contributor while collaborating cross‑functionally with Medical, Regulatory, Clinical and Commercial teams.

Deliverables & KPIs:

  • Regular KOL engagement reports and activity logs.
  • Timely submission of field insight reports and competitive intelligence.
  • Successful facilitation of advisory boards, CMEs and investigator engagements.
  • Positive feedback from KOLs and internal stakeholders on scientific exchange quality.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Minimum education: Pharm.D / M.Pharm / M.Sc / B.Pharm

Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical affairs, clinical liaison, or related roles with exposure to KOL engagement. Candidates must be under 35 years of age.

Must‑have experience & skills:

  • Proven field engagement experience with clinicians and KOLs.
  • Strong scientific acumen and ability to interpret clinical data and publications.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfort with regional travel and flexible field schedules.
  • High ethical standards and familiarity with promotional vs. non‑promotional boundaries in medical communications.
  • Ability to synthesize field insights into actionable recommendations for medical strategy.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in therapeutic areas relevant to Exeltis portfolios.
  • Experience coordinating advisory boards, CMEs or investigator‑initiated studies.
  • Familiarity with local healthcare systems and clinical research infrastructures in Delhi/NCR.

Location & Compensation

Location: Delhi (field territory covering regional hospitals, clinics and academic centres)

Travel: ~90% field travel; regional coverage as assigned.
