Job Role & Responsibilities
Medical Coder / Senior Medical Coder / QA
Experience: 1–5 years
Specialties Hiring: Radiology, IVR, Radiation Oncology, ENM, IPDRG (CCS)
Key responsibilities:
- Review and interpret clinical documentation for accurate CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS code assignment.
- Ensure compliance with NCCI edits, LCD/NCD guidelines and payer-specific requirements.
- Maintain high accuracy benchmarks in line with internal and client QA standards.
- Participate in audits, feedback sessions and continuous improvement activities.
- Support coding for complex encounters and specialty-specific cases.
- Adhere to HIPAA, data privacy, and secure documentation protocols.
- For QA roles: review batches coded by peers, provide feedback, maintain audit reports and conduct RCA for accuracy gaps.
