Job Role & Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Analyse raw materials, in-process samples, finished products and stability batches according to approved procedures.
- Perform routine and non-routine chemical and instrumental analysis using HPLC, GC, UV, IR, KF, Dissolution and related equipment.
- Prepare, standardise and maintain volumetric solutions, reagents and analytical records.
- Review analytical results and verify data accuracy before submission.
- Maintain complete, traceable and GMP-compliant documentation.
- Operate, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
- Support stability studies and maintain stability chambers as per regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in OOS, OOT and deviation investigations and support CAPA implementation.
- Ensure completion of testing activities within required timelines for batch release.
- Follow GLP, laboratory safety norms and internal audit requirements.
These responsibilities require precision, discipline and strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Education
B.Sc (Chemistry), M.Sc (Chemistry) or related analytical science degrees.
Experience
1–5 years of QC experience, preferably in a formulation plant.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on use of HPLC, GC, UV, IR, FTIR, Dissolution, KF.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacopeias (IP, BP, USP).
- Understanding of cGMP, GLP and ALCOA+ documentation principles.
- Ability to handle chromatographic data, calculations and reporting.
- Familiarity with laboratory investigations and stability requirements.
Relevant Courses (comma-separated)
B.Sc Chemistry, B.Sc Industrial Chemistry, M.Sc Analytical Chemistry, M.Sc Organic Chemistry, PG Diploma in QC & QA, M.Sc Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
