Job Role & Responsibilities

Senior Officer – Upstream / Downstream Production

Experience: 2–5 years
Department: Biosimilar Production

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor upstream bioprocess equipment including bioreactors, media prep units, and automated systems.
  • Support downstream purification steps such as chromatography, filtration, and buffer preparation.
  • Maintain strict GMP compliance, documentation accuracy, and batch execution records.
  • Assist in troubleshooting process deviations and ensuring process consistency.
  • Coordinate with QA, QC, and manufacturing teams for seamless production activities.
  • Support scale-up, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in any biosimilar or biopharmaceutical company.
  • Hands-on exposure to upstream or downstream unit operations.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, aseptic concepts, documentation, and biotechnology processes.

Preferred Courses

  • BSc Biotechnology, MSc Biotechnology
  • BTech Biotechnology, MTech Biotechnology
