The current JRF position is funded under the Deep Ocean Mission Scheme of the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, highlighting the project’s national importance and scientific credibility. Working on a MoES-funded project provides valuable exposure to government-funded research compliance, publication standards, and advanced experimental methodologies.

Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Junior Research Fellow (JRF), the selected candidate will work full-time on an advanced pharmacology research project focusing on marine bioactive nutrients and metabolic disease models.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting in-vivo and in-vitro pharmacological studies related to Type-II diabetes
• Evaluating immune stimulant effects of mitochondria-targeting marine micro-algae nutrients
• Handling animal models, biochemical assays, and molecular biology techniques
• Performing data collection, statistical analysis, and interpretation of research outcomes
• Preparing research reports, manuscripts, and publications for SCI/SCOPUS journals
• Assisting in project documentation, compliance, and progress reporting to funding agencies
• Collaborating with the Principal Investigator and interdisciplinary research teams

This role directly contributes to pharmaceutical research advancement, metabolic disorder therapeutics, and nutraceutical drug development.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• M.Pharm in Pharmacology (mandatory)

Relevant courses include:
M.Pharm Pharmacology, Experimental Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology, Molecular Pharmacology

Publication & Exam Preference

• Minimum 2 SCI / SCOPUS-indexed research publications (mandatory)
• NET / GATE / GPAT qualification will be preferred

Age Limit

• Up to 30 years (relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules)

• Position Type: Full-Time Research Fellowship
• Fellowship Amount: ₹37,000 + HRA per month (as per MoES norms)
