Job Role & Responsibilities

Medical Coder Trainee

The Medical Coder Trainee will be responsible for learning and executing medical coding tasks under supervision as per ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assigning accurate medical codes to clinical documentation
• Understanding ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
• Reviewing medical records for completeness and compliance
• Supporting quality audits and documentation accuracy
• Following HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
• Meeting productivity and quality benchmarks

Eligibility / Qualifications

Educational Qualification:
Graduates – Life Science background only

Relevant Courses Accepted:
B.Sc Life Sciences, B.Sc Biology, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Microbiology, B.Pharm, M.Sc Life Sciences

Certification Requirement (Mandatory):
CCS, CPC, or CIC (Non-certified candidates are not eligible)
