Job Role & Responsibilities

The Trainee / Junior Executive – Business Development will support injectable and biologics CMO business growth activities. This role demands strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a competitive pharma market.

Core Business Development Responsibilities

  • Generating new business opportunities within the allocated territory
  • Handling pharmaceutical products related to fill-finish injectables and biologics
  • Conducting market research to identify specific customer segments and opportunities
  • Developing market entry and growth strategies based on research insights
  • Preparing and maintaining a structured customer database
  • Calling and interacting with potential clients to present company capabilities
  • Managing and supporting turnkey pharmaceutical projects

Client Relationship & Lead Management

  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with domestic and international clients
  • Generating new leads while nurturing existing customer relationships
  • Ensuring consistent follow-up to enhance business partnerships and repeat opportunities
  • Preparing technical and commercial offers in coordination with internal teams

Strategic & Coordination Responsibilities

  • Preparing market surveys, SWOT analysis, and business strategies
  • Creating company information materials such as brochures, presentations, leaflets, and pamphlets
  • Coordinating with standard and technical teams for new product development initiatives
  • Supporting marketing and sales activities for existing standard injectable products
  • Working independently while multitasking in a fast-paced business environment

Eligibility / Qualifications

Educational Background

Candidates must have completed postgraduate education in one of the following disciplines:

M.Pharmacy, MSc Life Sciences, MSc Biotechnology, MSc Microbiology, MSc Biochemistry, MSc Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences

An MBA in Marketing, International Business, or Healthcare Management will be considered an added advantage.

Experience Requirement

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical business development, marketing, or sales
  • Freshers with strong communication skills and industry awareness may also be considered
  • Prior exposure to injectables, biologics, or CMO business models is preferred
