Job Role & Responsibilities
As an Associate Database Analyst, you will be part of a highly specialized team responsible for building and maintaining high-quality clinical databases that support drug development programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining clinical trial databases to ensure accurate data capture and reporting
- Supporting multiple studies within Pfizer’s clinical portfolio
- Ensuring clinical data integrity, consistency, and compliance with global regulatory standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including clinical operations, biostatistics, and data management
- Developing efficient data capture solutions aligned with study protocols and data review plans
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry best practices
- Gaining expertise in clinical data technologies such as Oracle-based systems and data management tools
- Understanding therapy-specific data collection requirements and adapting database structures accordingly
This role directly contributes to the reliability of clinical trial data, which is critical for regulatory submissions, safety reporting, and drug approvals.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or regulatory environments
- Strong knowledge of database programming and data handling systems
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, SAS, Java, and relational database design
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with clinical data platforms such as Oracle InForm, Oracle DMW, MS SQL Server, or MS Access
- Understanding of clinical trial processes, data review workflows, and regulatory submissions
- Knowledge of CDISC standards and clinical data compliance frameworks
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook
