Job Role & Responsibilities
As an Officer – Production, you will play a vital role in maintaining compliance and ensuring smooth production activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing on-line documentation of production activities in batch manufacturing records (BMR) and log books.
- Carrying out calibration and daily verification of weighing balances as per schedule.
- Ensuring machine operations and cleaning procedures are followed per SOPs.
- Taking line clearance from QA before initiating operations.
- Allocating work to operators and workmen according to the production plan.
- Monitoring temperature and humidity in the processing area as per BMR specifications.
- Performing in-process checks during intermediate stages of batch manufacturing and filling.
- Initiating online rejection, deviation, incident, and change control reports.
- Maintaining compliance for validation batches and regulatory audits.
- Following labeling procedures for area, equipment, and products.
- Coordinating with the QC department for product release.
- Ensuring yield of products at each stage meets the BMR standards.
- Reporting abnormalities during shifts to the Production Manager immediately.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Educational Requirement: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, M.Sc (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology).
- Experience: 2–5 years in pharmaceutical production.
- Preferred Skills: Knowledge of GMP guidelines, regulatory compliance, process validation, documentation, and handling audits.
