Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Medical Coder – Denials, you will:
- Review and analyze medical records and claim denials.
- Apply accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes in line with regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure coding compliance with payor-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with billing and reimbursement teams to resolve claim denials.
- Contribute to reducing revenue leakage and improving claim accuracy.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Education: Life Science Graduates (BPT, MPT, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc, M.Sc, Nursing, Nutrition, Zoology, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics).
- Certification: CPC, CCS, COC, CRC – mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in medical coding (denials specialty).
- Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of medical coding guidelines.
- Analytical skills to resolve denial-related issues.
- Ability to work with coding software and healthcare IT systems.
Relevant Courses: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, BPT, MPT, B.Sc/M.Sc (Nursing, Biochemistry, Zoology, Microbiology, Genetics, Nutrition).
