Job Role & Responsibilities

Akums is looking for talented candidates for its API Research & Development (R&D) unit, across Analytical R&D (ARD) and Chemical R&D (CRD) departments.

Analytical R&D (ARD)

Designation: ARA / RA / SRA
Experience: 2–8 Years
Qualification: M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products as per GLP standards.

• Operate and maintain HPLC, GC, and wet lab instruments.

• Conduct analytical method validation (AMV) and analytical method transfer (AMT).

• Prepare and review protocols, reports, and documentation.

• Support instrument calibration and compliance as per regulatory requirements.

Chemical R&D (CRD)

Designation: ARA / RA / SRA
Experience: 2–8 Years
Qualification: M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature research and prepare Route of Synthesis (ROS) documents.

• Perform exploratory studies and process development from milligram to gram scale.

• Handle process development equipment and maintain lab notebooks as per SOPs.

• Assist in tech transfer of developed products to pilot or manufacturing scale.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and documentation standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong understanding of organic synthesis, analytical chemistry, and instrumental techniques.

• Knowledge of GMP/GLP practices and regulatory documentation.

• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.

• Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (specializations: Analytical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry).

• Experience Required: 2–8 years in ARD or CRD within pharmaceutical/API R&D.

• Core Competencies: Analytical method development, synthesis, literature search, data integrity, equipment calibration, and report preparation.
