Job Role & Responsibilities

The Medicinal Chemistry role focuses on supporting early-stage drug discovery projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Execute multi-step organic synthesis for small molecules.
• Perform reaction monitoring, purification, and characterization of intermediates.
• Maintain clear experimental records in ELNs.
• Optimize reaction conditions and troubleshoot synthetic challenges.
• Support SAR development and deliver compounds within project timelines.
• Conduct literature searches and apply synthetic methodologies relevant to project needs.
• Collaborate with senior chemists and cross-functional discovery teams.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with lab guidelines.

Eligibility / Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry.
• 2–5 years of experience in synthetic chemistry (small-scale projects preferred).
• Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms, functional group transformations, and stereochemistry.
• Hands-on experience in purification techniques like chromatography.
• Familiarity with NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, IR, and other analytical tools.
