Job Role & Responsibilities
Department: Production (Oral Solid Dosage – OSD)
Designation: Technical Assistant
Experience: 2–8 years
As a Technical Assistant in the OSD Production Department, you will play a key role in executing core manufacturing activities in compliance with cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of formulation processes, process control, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production equipment such as granulators, fluid bed dryers (FBDs), compression machines, coating machines, and capsule filling equipment.
- Execute manufacturing operations following approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and SOPs.
- Ensure adherence to cGMP and EHS standards at every stage of production.
- Perform in-process checks, record production data, and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and readiness for production.
- Support preventive maintenance and changeover activities in coordination with engineering teams.
- Contribute to process optimization and yield improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with QA and QC departments to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Participate in deviation investigations and CAPA implementation when required.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with compression (Cadmach, Fette, Korsch), coating (Gansons, Glatt), and granulation (RMG, FBD) equipment.
- Knowledge of cGMP, documentation practices, and validation activities.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical quality systems and process troubleshooting.
- Exposure to regulated market facilities (USFDA/EU approved plants) preferred.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc, M.Sc, or Diploma in Pharmacy or Chemical Engineering.
Experience:
2–8 years of hands-on experience in OSD production operations — granulation, compression, coating, or capsule filling.
Relevant Courses (comma-separated):
B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Sc (Chemistry), M.Sc (Pharmaceutical Sciences), PG Diploma in Industrial Pharmacy, Certificate in GMP & Validation.
