Job Role & Responsibilities

The Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for implementing the company’s medical affairs strategy in the assigned zone. Key responsibilities include:

  • Stay updated on current medical practices, medicines, and treatment trends within the therapeutic area through symposia, journals, and HCP interactions.
  • Disseminate scientific information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute key medical projects including Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) for effective engagement with healthcare networks.
  • Assist in local medico marketing strategy implementation.
  • Identify and develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and essential experts (EEs) in the territory.
  • Provide medical expertise to support product registration and defense before regulators, NGOs, or the press.
  • Draft, revise, and review labeling documents for pipeline and local products in line with SOPs.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs for EE access and related activities.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Medical degree, preferably MD in Pharmacology, or a degree in Life Sciences.

Experience:

  • 0-3 years in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry for beginners; fresh graduates with MD in Pharmacology are eligible.
  • For non-doctoral candidates, 10+ years of field experience with strong scientific expertise is preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in diabetes therapy.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to build effective professional networks and collaborate across teams.
